GIMP (GNU Image Manipulation Program) is a free software raster graphics editor, primarily employed as photo retouching, image composition and image authoring.

GIMP is available to make detailed image retouching and free-form drawing as well as accomplish image editing tasks such as resizing, editing, and cropping photos, photomontages combining multiple images, and converting between different image formats. In addition GIMP can be used in order to create basic animated images in the GIF format.

You can use GIMP as a simple paint program, an high-level retouching program, a mass production image renderer, an online batch processing system, an image format converter (it supports such formats as JPEG (JFIF), GIF, PNG, TIFF, PSD), etc. Having all this features GIMP is widely considered to be the main replacement for Adobe Photoshop. It widely used by photographers and the film industry. It can also be used as a framework for prototyping novel image-processing algorithms, because of its open extensible structure.

The user friendly interface of this app allows you to stack different modules into tabs or keep them open in their own window. Work in layers and channels (including editable text layers). It load, display, convert, save to many file formats.

Powerful, free, open source. A great tool, just needs you to get to know it a little. I have used various versions for ~6 years now. As good for my needs as expensive photoshop.

Excellent tool, and great cloud resource. For a small monthly rental, I get the equivalent of a well-equipped linux box which is kept up-to-date. Well worth it.

I loved the GIMP program on my PC, but am currently unable to open files from my laptop or via URL into the editor. Not sure if this is a problem with the actual program or if I'm doing something wrong??

It is okay, it lets you do your work but doesn't let you save it, which is unfair. So if you don't have a Rollapp or a cloud account (Or even both) then it is best not to get this app.

Impossível utilizar online e conseguir abrir imagens do próprio PC. É preciso estar conectado com a "nuvem" para editar uma foto. Muito ruim e nada prático. Não recomendo.

If you want to play and experiment, that is fine. But you can not save or export any files. When I tried to export or save a file it said that I had to sign up to premium. Which I think is not fair. Also I was trying to blend images together with the eraser and paint tool, did not work. The tools I think are not functioning well. That eliminates you from doing a lot. Other then all that, play around.

This program was near impossible to use, it had very poor design and not enough tools, that and there were some tools that were absolutely useless unless needed in a very oddly specific way. It was also too hard to get my images to fit one another, there was no way for that to work, I don't know why...

Program itself was carried over well, but it's laggy, and saving is impossible without paying. I don't criticize the inability to upload to cloud drive directly, but at least let us save to desktop!

Could you make the app open less pop up windows and use some sort of JavaScript overlay instead? It's very confusing to have 10 windows open. Would give 5 stars if that was fixed

Gimp on RollApp is great, but recently it's not keeping track of what I've had open recently anymore (same problem with inkscape, but not as much of an inconvenience) and as of today it won't let me open files once I've already done so, if that makes any sense. After I open picture(s) once the open window won't even come up, which is a bit of a problem.

Very awesome concept of running GIMP in the browser. But th G in GIMP doesn't stand for General but for GNU.
